Kirk Baltz is an acting coach with 15 years teaching experience. His workshops and on-going classes are taught in LA and other majors cites across the US and abroad. He builds strong technique. Kirk’s work continues to give actors and directors a better understanding of the differences between acting on stage, on camera and in a casting office.
From the start of his career Kirk has studied extensively in NYC and LA with such noted teachers as Susan Batson, Tony Greco, Sandra Seacat, Greg Zittle, and Penny Allen; responsible for the training (and in some cases the continued coaching), of such actors as Nicole Kidman, Aaron Eckhart, Laura Dern, Mickey Rourke, Jesicca Lange, Harvey Keitel and Phillip Seymour Hoffman.
Kirk has appeared in such feature films as: Bulworth, Natural Born Killers, Reservoir Dogs (as “Officer Marvin Nash”) and Dances With Wolves. He has been featured in such television shows as: The Shield, NYPD Blue, Without A Trace, Will and Grace and 24.
The Lie, directed by Joshua Leonard featured Kirk, and received critical acclaim at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival. It has a theatrical release scheduled for this Fall.
These sessions are also used by working actors needing help with an audition, or for developing a character for an up coming project. Writers and directors have also used private sessions to help sharpen their ability to communicate with their talent.
Private coaching can also be used to help beginners. Acting classes can be difficult with a busy schedule and a bit intimidating, but are eventually a must if the actor is to move forward. One-on-one coaching sessions and acting lessons are available with Kirk.
